Elliott Smith, Either/Or Morrissey, Vauxhall and I claire rousay, A Softer Focus These records are among the moodiest, loveliest records ever. I've always wanted to sound like Frank Sinatra or Morrissey or John Lennon, but I don't. What choice do I have? To sound like myself, flaws and all.--Erik Sanden What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When we played with Tragically Hip. We watched how Gordon Downie--a true artist and gentleman--conducted himself on and off stage. It's nice to have upstanding role models in such a ethically questionable line of work. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We want to invent a new way of stringing chords together. We want to turn performance upside-down, somehow, somewhere. We want to go to Alaska. We want to make the loudest song ever. We want to make the quietest song ever. Lots to do.
