In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Although I started trying to play the piano when I was six, I had my first lesson from a professional piano teacher at nine years old. She was very old fashioned and strict and would slap my hands away from the keys if I made a mistake. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Diana Krall, Love Scenes Dianne Reeves, A Little Moonlight Nina Simone, The Voice of Nina Simone (My Baby Just Cares for Me and All Her Great Classics) My Baby Just Cares for Me was the first jazz song I ever heard. Loved the way it sounded and it was fun singing the piano solo part in the middle. Love Scenes is the album I've probably listened to the most. And Dianne Reeves I've seen live the most. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Parallel Universe” I wrote this song after seeing the film Sliding Doors. I love the idea that there might be several parallel universes out there where we've made slightly different decisions and ended up living many different lives. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was singing live on Radio 4's Loose Ends. Other guests on the same show were Catherine Tate and Jimmy Carr. It was nerve-racking but a great experience. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many. One of the things I'd most like to do is collaborate with other artists, especially from different genres.
