About The Afrosheens
Recording and performing under the moniker of the Afrosheens since 1995, Afshin Beheshti has been multi-tasking his multi-instrumentation of keyboards, guitars, bass, woodwinds, percussion, and mandolin since his days of living in Minneapolis, MN. Eventually relocating to Tallahassee, FL, in 1998, Beheshti recruited a number of musicians to help him perform his self-proclaimed "one-man empire of sound" as additional styles of avant-garde jazz can also be heard throughout out his self-released CD No Photos (1998). On top of performing with Ancient Brain and Divided Body, a second Afrosheens album entitled The Persian Expressway followed two years later. ~ Mike DaRonco
