About Pete Miser

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my older brother playing a Police song on guitar. He showed me the bass part on the piano and had me play along. I could barely process that we were making music together! He was my idol so that moment represented a deep bonding moment. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan Boogie Down Productions, Criminal Minded Public Enemy, It Takes a Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back Deluxe Edition The connective thread in these three albums is lyrics. I wouldn't have lived the life I've lived if it were for these albums. They taught me how to write and informed my politics, values, intellect and more. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Endure” This is a very personal song written as a letter to a good musician friend. When I hear this song I think about the decades I've put into music in an effort to sort out my most challenging shit. "At the end of the party I'm still glad I stayed." What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember what it was like to stand on stage in front of 100,000 people in a festival in England. It was surreal. It had nothing to do with any experience I had had on stage up to that point. It was a sea of human energy. Unforgettable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to work with other producers than myself. I would like to have more than an indy budget to create an album. I'd like to perform in Africa (I've performed on every other continent (excluding Antarctica).
