About Diabolic
Hailing from the fertile death metal breeding ground of Tampa, FL, Diabolic formed in 1997 and consists of vocalist/bassist Paul Ouellete, guitarist Brian Malone, guitarist Jerry Mortellaro, and drummer Aantar "Blastmaster" Coates. They recorded their first demo, the acclaimed City of the Dead, soon after forming and began to gain positive recognition in the metal underground; this demo was later re-released by Fadeless with the addition of two extra songs. Diabolic's first full-length album, Supreme Evil, was recorded in 1998 and released on Conquest Records in the U.S., Hammerheart in Europe. The band recorded their second album, Subterraneal Magnitude, in 2000 and had it released in mid-2001, again through Hammerheart. In the fall of that same year, the prolific quartet's third full-length, Vengeance Ascending, came out, marking their first release for the Olympic label. In between their busy recording schedule, Diabolic has embarked on tours with bands including Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, and Marduk. ~ William York
