A singer, songwriter, and worship leader based in Maryland, James Wilson combines alternative CCM and dynamic praise and worship music. He released his debut album, Songs for the Church, in 2019. A native of Lucedale, Mississippi, Wilson released his first EP, Stuck in the Rain, in 2011. After relocating to Maryland, he eventually joined the staff at Living Hope Church in Lexington Park. With his strong sense of melody and uplifting mix of CCM pop and rock, he crafted a set of songs with the sole intent of adding to the worship canon. Released in 2019, Songs for the Church quickly found an audience, and its lead single, "Wait On the Lord," topped Billboard's Gospel Digital Songs chart. ~ Timothy Monger
