About Infernaeon

Fort Lauderdale, FL's Infernaeon was founded in 2004 by sometime Monstrosity members Brian Werner (vocals) and Sam Molina (rhythm guitar), as a parallel endeavor intended to incorporate symphonic elements into their usual death metal style, with occasional black metal inclinations thrown in for additional spice. Working with local producer and accomplished keyboard player Zack Brown, the duo recorded a four-song demo entitled "Oracle of Armageddon," but became distracted with Monstrosity activities on and off over the next few years, so that they only found time to reconvene and record again in late 2006. That's when they recruited lead guitarist Brian Magley, bassist Kevin Gibbons, and drummer Nick Agusto (drums), to produce a 30-minute mini-album under the self-explanatory title of A Symphony of Suffering, which was released through Prosthetic Records in 2007. The group then set out on tour, supporting Atheist and Deicide, and appearing at the yearly Milwaukee Metal Fest, but not before undergoing a radical personnel makeover: Magley and Molina were replaced by lead guitarist Chris Defaut (of Divine Empire and Chronzon) and rhythm guitarist Erick Lieder (of Face of Ruin), Brown was supplanted by keyboard player Dave Stein (Strychnine, Northwinds), and Agusto by drummer Jeramie Kling. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
