About Too Bad Eugene

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up having my dad drive me around playing the Beach Boys and the Beatles, and my brother drive me around playing 7 Seconds and DESCENDENTS. Once I heard DESCENDENTS play Wendy on their live album Liveage, my musical instincts were formed. Adam What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bad Religion, Stranger Than Fiction Descendents, Everything Sucks Green Day, Dookie All three of these bands had been making music in the 80s, the DESCENDENTS even earlier, and many punk purists would argue that these bands' best work lies back then. But I think the explosive popularity of punk in 94 produced these guys' best work. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Distance (feat. Ted Bond)” This song is an example of an awful experience in life turning into something beautiful in art, which then leads to growth in life. It takes rhythmic inspiration from Van Morrison's Glad Tidings, but it is pure TBE. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I (Adam) got to fly down to LA to hang out with MXPX and do some back up vocals when they were recording The Ever Passing Moment at Conway Studios. While there, I also got to meet Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins (RIP), who were there mixing TINLTL. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? For us, the biggest thrill is releasing new music, but we already get to do that. A close second is getting to play shows and form friendships with bands we love. Getting to do that with DESCENDENTS is our biggest bucket list item. Some day!
