About WarCry

Spanish metal band Warcry emerged in 2001 when Avalanch drummer Alberto Ardines and vocalist Victor Garcia began recording new material on the side, leading to a rift and their ultimate departure from the band. Along with guitarist Fernando Mon, bassist Alvaro Jardon, and keyboardist Manuel Ramil, Ardines and Garcia completed Warcry's debut album, El Sello de los Tiempos, in 2003, and the band then toured nationally in support. By January of 2004 their sophomore effort, Alea Jacta Est, hit the stores. New bassist Roberto Garcia joined the band in 2005, and a third record, ¿Donde Esta la Luz?, was issued. Warcry received much critical praise and recognition in 2006, nominated for awards by AMAS, Metalzone, and Rockferendum for their fourth release, La Quinta Esencia. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
