About Lis Addison
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 11 practicing at the piano, a piece of music fell into my head and I wrote it down. My first composition. I was a songbird and memorized all the words of all the songs I heard which included rock n roll, Broadway and even Church songs. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Rastaman Vibration (2013 Remaster) Sting, Ten Summoner's Tales The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) All of this music has played prominently in my appreciation of the power of music, at once soulful, rhythmic, cosmic, historical, psychedelic, melodic, classical, experimental and socially and spiritually uplifting. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “SnakeRoot” This piece started a new way that I approached music when I became interested in the vibrational healing frequencies of the voice and stopped writing lyrics. This Root Chakra clearing piece is my "hit" song and the voice a sacred instrument.
