The upbeat sounds of producer, rapper, and beat boxer Lafa Taylor have swerved across melodic rap, contemporary R&B and reggae, and EDM, among other genres. A Eugene, Oregon native who draws from his global travels and aims to inspire his audience, Taylor has thrived as a live performer -- major festivals such as Coachella and Electric Forest have hosted him -- but he has also clocked a considerable amount of studio time, frequently in collaborative settings. Along with several singles, Taylor's independently issued recorded output includes Different (2005), Not One Thing (2014), and the dancefloor-oriented Aabo collaboration Feel (2017).
