About The Bambi Molesters

Croatian surf rock revivalists the Bambi Molesters formed in 1995. They recorded their first album, Dumb Loud Hollow Twang, in only three hours, and not long after their second release (1999’s Intensity), they were playing arenas. Released in 2001, Sonic Bullets: 13 from the Hip featured guest spots from touring pals including Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Scott McCaughey (Young Fresh Fellows), Speedo Martinez (the Flaming Sideburns), and Chris Eckman (the Walkabouts). In 2004, following a remake of Dumb Loud Hollow Twang (titled Dumb Loud Hollow Twang [Deluxe]), the Bambi Molesters collaborated with Chris Eckman as the Strange, after which they went on hiatus. By 2009 they were back to record songs for As the Dark Wave Swells, released in 2010. ~ Jason Lymangrover
