The Crêpes

About The Crêpes

By all accounts, 2008 was pretty busy year for Studio's Dan Lissvik -- in addition to working on various remixes, his production credits included Taken by Trees' sophomore album, East of Eden, and Lake Heartbeat's debut, Trust in Numbers. In spite of all this, Lissvik managed to set aside a bit of time to team up with the Embassy's Fredrik Lindson on a new project, the Crêpes. Borrowing from the shambly, jangly, and introspective sensibilies of the C-86 era -- and particularly from acts like the Pastels and the Field Mice -- the duo put together its eight-track debut mini-album, What Else?, in a whirlwind eight-day session. A limited-edition vinyl printing of the album came out via Information Records in the early summer of 2009; a digital version of the album was made available a couple months later. ~ TiVo Staff
