A Canadian metal quartet based out of Waterloo, Ontario, Auras' hard-hitting style incorporates elements of groove-laden djent, melodic metalcore, and harmonious progressive metal. Founded in 2010 around the talents of guitarists Josh Ligaya and Aaron Hallman, vocalist Eric Almeida, and drummer Nathan Bulla, the band issued their debut EP, Panacea, independently in 2013. A second EP, Crestfallen, arrived in 2015 and caught the attention of eOne, which put out Auras' first full-length offering, Heliospectrum, the following year.
