In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to my late father playing the accordion. He was a champion accordionist and I was always mesmerised by him playing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Billy Joel, The Stranger (Remastered) Coldplay, Music of the Spheres Take That, Beautiful World Beautiful World got me through my darkest times, during my bone marrow transplant. Billy Joel's album takes me back to my touring years on the tourbus with Seal. Coldplay's album reminds me of their concert at Wembley with the love of my life. Tell us why you chose this song. “Smile (From "Modern Times")” We recorded this album in the middle of my fight with cancer and I was being told repeatedly that I wouldn't survive. My good friend Rod arranged this tune, with the drone being the constant cancer, and the trombone being me rising above it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring with Michael Bolton, then Seal, then Sting. All of them took me under their wing as I was navigating difficult years battling cancer. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To launch some solo material and maybe even do some solo gigs!
