About The Class Assassins

Created in 2000 in Toronto, the Class Assassins consist of various members of Vacant Lot, Direct Action, Hockey Teeth, and Bitter Grin. In 2000, the group recorded a demo which didn't attract much attention from fans or labels. In 2001, the Class Assassins returned to the studio to record two EPs, Soap-n-Spikes and No Justice, No Peace. After performing throughout Toronto and Ontario, the group returned to the studio to begin work on its debut full-length effort. Signed to TKO Records, the Class Assassins released State of Emergency in 2002. The group toured Europe and North America in support of the album. The Class Assassins have been compared to Dropkick Murphys and Stiff Little Fingers, among others. ~ Jason MacNeil
