Miary Lepiera, author, singer, and guitarist, hails from Southwest Madagascar. While on tour with the Malagasy band Njava, Lepiera first visited Europe, eventually settling in Brussels. It was in Brussels where he recruited his band, Sairy, which featured players from mainland Africa and even Greece. Lepiera's debut, Bitsibitsiho, was released in 1999, and Miary Lepiera & Sairy released Soro in 2003. ~ Sean Westergaard
