D.O.A.

About D.O.A.

The incomparable Canadian punk rockers D.O.A. have been around long enough and made such an impact that, in 2003, Vancouver mayor Larry Campbell declared December 21 to be “D.O.A. Day.” For a band that tore into political controversy with all the vigor and humor they could muster, it’s an astonishing feat to have achieved that kind of acceptance without having compromised their core principles along the way. While it’s arguable whether or not they named the genre with their album HARDCORE ’81, it’s not up for debate whether or not it’s a classic. Still taking on authority 30 years after their forming, D.O.A. is a living example of punk’s complete history.
