The Assistants have been bringing on their politically charged lyrics and pop-based hardcore to their native of New and East Brunswick, New Jersey. Consisting of Jay (guitar/vocals), John (bass/vocals), Leigh (keyboard/vocals), Ross (drums), and Tom (guitar/vocals), certain member also could have been found in Linus, Bound, You and I, and Everett prior to the band's formation. Milligram Records eventually released the Assistants' first self-titled album in 1999. ~ Mike DaRonco
