About Greg Annussek

Drawing from a wide range of influences such as Elvis Costello, Wilco, Matthew Sweet, Hole, the Velvet Underground, and Sheryl Crow, New York-based musician/singer/songwriter Greg Annussek is equally at home penning a guitar-driven rocker, an alternative country tune, or a pop-folk ballad. In the late 90's, Annussek was part of the Philadelphia-based alt-rock band Peter Sellers' Girlfriend, which played locally and issued a self-titled EP. But in 1999 Annussek decided to make a go at it as a solo act, relocating to New York City, forming a new band, and working on his first solo album. 2001 saw the release of Annussek's solo debut, Little Palaces, which comprised ten alternative rock/pop originals, with a heavy emphasis on melodic, singalong choruses. ~ Greg Prato
