In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a very young child, I remember being in my father's office and him asking me to sing, and me being obsessed with his tape recorder, asking him "What are you doing?" repeatedly. I finally sang 1/2 line of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" (I have the cassette!) What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti Deluxe Edition The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) These albums inspired me as a child and influenced who I've become as a songwriter - in the children's music realm too. I listened to Sgt Pepper's on my parent's 8-track cassette deck over and over, listening for a different instrument every time. Tell us why you chose this song. “Scarecrow” I love the energy, the music & movement aspect of it, and that is actually a strong pop/rock song too. I came up with it in while laying on a bench at a park, looking up at the tall trees and the sky. I asked for a Halloween song, and there it was! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing at the "Austin City Limits International Music Festival". My bandmates and I had an incredible time, and we got VIP passes to see any of the 120 other artists at the festival (I saw Muse, Jimmy Eat World, The Cure, Depeche Mode to name a few) Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still want to do a TV show based on Andyland (my imaginary world), make an animated Halloween special and stage production of my audio play "The Grand Scream Of Things", videos of all of my Andyland audio play albums, and more children's books.
