About Death Ships

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was playing my dad's record collection of Beatles and Motown Records on my families stereo. I loved the world playing records could create at a very young age and inspired me to make my own art. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Tribe Called Quest, The Low End Theory Gene Clark, The Gosdin Brothers, Gene Clark With the Gosdin Brothers Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot These three albums were seminal records during my college years the peak duration cycle of the band. I remember listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot over and over when it came out and I bought Low End Theory on cassette and wore it out so much. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Little Mystery” I wrote this song with no one particular in mind but was a time that mirrored the aspects of college life in Iowa City. Lots of people tell me it is one of their favorite songs. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moments were touring with and in support of the late great Jay Bennett formerly of Wilco on both coasts of the United States. It was also cool to hear our song "I Like it A Lot," on the show Vampire Diaries. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I plan to release more music at some point but I am very proud of the music we have released.
