About The Ebb and Flow
Experimental pop/rock trio the Ebb and Flow draw liberally from the guitar-heavy crush of '70s progressive rock, the cerebral spaciousness of Krautrock, and the melodic synth pop of the early '80s to craft a rock & roll hybrid that is as forward-thinking as it is reverent of its colorful antecedents. Comprised of drummer Sara Cassetti, guitarist/bassist/vocalist Sam Tsitrin, and keyboardist/vocalist Christian Hanlon, the group recorded a series of EPs before unleashing its full-length debut in 2005. Released by Three Ring Records, Time to Echolocate was recorded in just one day under the watchful eye of San Francisco-based engineer Aaron Prellwitz (Neil Young, Cex, Sun Kil Moon). The Ebb and Flow embarked on a national tour in late summer of the same year. ~ James Christopher Monger
