Mikki James the group was formed by Mikki James the person, a bass player and singer, after stints in Thin Lizard Dawn, the backup band for Leona Ness, and the Shetland Pony. In addition to its namesake, the group included guitarist Ivan Evangelista, guitarist Matthew Hageman, and drummer Jon Weber. Their first album, Mike G Sugar Daddy, was released by See Thru Broadcasting in 2000. Sky High Entertainment issued Mikki James in 2002. Lone Ranger and Guess What... were both released by Xemu Records in 2005. ~ William Ruhlmann
