About The Hush Sound

Chicago indie pop group the Hush Sound grew out of collaborations between childhood friends Greta Salpeter and Bob Morris. Salpeter (piano) and Morris (guitar) began writing songs and performing together as an acoustic duo, before deciding to complete the line-up with a bassist and drummer. When the piano-based, melody-rich sounds of their self-released 2005 full-length SO SUDDEN caught the attention of Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, it led to a deal with his Decaydance label. LIKE VINES followed in 2006, and the band’s third album, GOODBYE BLUES, appeared in 2008.
