In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Since I was a kid, music was all I ever wanted to do. I started doing gigs on the Gold Coast when I was 15 & spent my high school senior years working 7 nights a week in bars & clubs til 3am doing my school homework behind the bar in my breaks! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE Coldplay, Ghost Stories Michael Jackson, The Essential Michael Jackson I remember watching MJ on TV as a kid dreaming that one day I could be an artist like him, that could make people FEEL something. Chris Martin is my favourite songwriter & Ghost Stories is so poetic. Beyonce is the Queen & Renaissance is EVERYTHING! It's everything I have ever wanted to say in a song. On My Own is a Declaration of Independence and a celebration of making it through the things you thought might break you. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When my song 'Can't Touch It' was used in the Sex & The City 2 movie & released worldwide on the soundtrack and in the trailer for the film! I wrote it in New York about a night out in NYC with my friend, so for it to be used for S&TC was surreal! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think as an artist you're never really done - there's always something more, something fresh, something new. Releasing my new album through my own label and owning my own masters is a pretty big deal for me and I can't wait for people to hear it!
