About Stephan Moccio

Stephan Moccio is a Grammy and Oscar-nominated composer, producer, and songwriter who has worked on a variety of chart-topping pop hits, Platinum-selling albums, and beloved TV themes. ∙ Moccio’s pop music breakthrough came when he cowrote Celine Dion’s 2002 single “A New Day Has Come,” which hit No. 1 in the US, Canada, Poland, and the Czech Republic. ∙ He cowrote and coproduced the theme song for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver—“I Believe” by Nikki Yanofsky—which became a chart-topping, quadruple-Platinum hit in Canada. ∙ Miley Cyrus’ multi-Platinum 2013 LP Bangerz featured his piano-playing and songwriting on the global smash “Wrecking Ball,” a No. 1 hit in nearly a dozen different countries. ∙ He cowrote The Weeknd’s multi-Platinum global smash “Earned It,” from the chart-topping soundtrack to the 2015 film Fifty Shades of Grey. ∙ At the 2015 Grammys, he was nominated for three separate awards, including Album of the Year for his work on The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness. ∙ In 2020, he released two solo LPs: a classical piano instrumental album (Tales of Solace) and a holiday record (Winter Poems).
