Recording engineer Hillary Johnson became fascinated with sound and music at an early age. By the 1990s, she was working in New York studios with a wide variety of musicians, including Jeff Buckley and the Ramones. In addition to engineering, she is the synthesizer player in Crowns on 45, moonlights as DJ Hi-Fi Hillary, designs web pages, and is a contributing writer to Tape Op magazine.
