When I was around 11, when it was time to go to bed, my sister, who slept in the bunk bed under me, would ask "Will you sing for me?” and I would hum and come up with made-up melodies that were always changing, until we would both fall asleep... Eric Satie because his piano loops touch me and bring me into trance, and Keith Jarrett as a more modern jazzy trance.
