In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents were working musicians, so music was a constant growing up. I would sit in the backseat, and sing along while my mom rehearsed for gigs, she would listen to the set songs over and over again - that’s how I learned how to harmonize. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dominic Fike, What Could Possibly Go Wrong John Mayer, Continuum Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Continuum was the first album I ever bought. John Mayer is one of my favorite songwriters. Fike inspires me to explore sounds and expressions - his music is raw and up for interpretation. Lauryn hill epitomizes lyricism and storytelling. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pull Me Over” This song feels like me. It's my jump and dance around, yell it loud song, and I always needed those songs from other artists. I'm figuring out how to create stuff I love to listen to, the stuff that feels good. It seems weird but that takes time. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working with young adults and other women who are passionate about music is really the crown jewel of this journey for me - I feel like the music is the soil for so many opportunities, it feels good to teach, and share and create community. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Everything! I feel like I've only scratched the surface. I want to write a million more songs, and sing for a million more people, but no bucket list any more. If I get to do music every day, and share what I know and love, that's already the dream.
