About Mathieu Romano

Conductor Mathieu Romano is best known as the director of the Ensemble Aedes choir. He has also led other choral and orchestral groups as well as operatic productions. While still in his student years in 2005, he founded Ensemble Aedes. Romano served as assistant conductor under François-Xavier Roth and Dennis Russell Davies, among others. In 2013, he appeared with Ensemble Aedes on the recording Philippe Hersant: Clairvaux - Instants limites. Romano led Ensemble Aedes on a recording of Stravinsky's Les noces and a choral version of Ravel's Bolero on Aparte in 2023.
