One of electroclash's most iconic figures, Miss Kittin (or simply Kittin) is equally proficient as a DJ, vocalist, and producer. Her unmistakable deadpan voice and darkly humorous lyrics, often commenting on subjects related to fame and glamour, were featured on numerous club hits around the turn of the 21st century, particularly Felix da Housecat's "Silver Screen Shower Scene" and "Frank Sinatra," with the Hacker. She released two full-lengths, Or (with Golden Boy) and First Album (with the Hacker) in 2001, right at the peak of electroclash's popularity, and branched out with subsequent solo releases like 2004's I Com and the more experimental 2018 effort Cosmos. In addition to two more albums with the Hacker, she's collaborated with artists such as ANNA, Marc Houle, and Dubfire, and released around a dozen DJ mixes, including a 2023 entry in Kompakt's Connecting the Dots retrospective series.
