Pitch Black City

Another project involving significant input from producer Kenny Dixon Jr. (aka Moodymann), Pitch Black City appeared to be a loose collaborative entity with several Detroit musicians -- including percussionist Andrés, vocalist Roberta Sweed, and keyboardist Amp Fiddler -- in on the action. A one-sided 12" credited to Pitch Black City appeared on Dixon's Mahogani label in 2003; additionally, PBC was featured on a track off Moodymann's Silence in the Secret Garden LP, released the same year on Peacefrog. ~ Andy Kellman
