About Saratoga

Spanish group Saratoga formed in 1992 and won a reputation as Madrid's premier heavy metal act. Their 1995 eponymous debut album became something of a Euro-metal classic, popular across the Continent and throughout Japan. Saratoga's next outing was the covers project Tributo, followed by Mi Ciudad, which landed them a spot on national pop charts. The band followed Mi Ciudad with Vientos de Guerra, a record pitched at mainstream audiences. Saratoga then released the English-language album Heaven's Gate, before again targeting their European and Japanese fans with Las Puertas del Cielo. Their biographical DVD 1992-2004 achieved gold status, and their subsequent record, Tierra de Lobos, experienced similar success. With their more recent albums, Saratoga have retained their favorable place on European sales and airplay charts. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
