Sofía Campos

Sofía Campos is a singer/songwriter from Argentina whose music melds sounds from home, a lifelong love for Brazilian music (she was raised in Rio de Janeiro), and Mexican traditions -- she currently lives in Mexico and Los Angeles. She self-released the elegant Rosa Laranja EP produced by Gustavo Guerrero, showcasing her meld of Latin styles -- bolero, cumbia, and nueva canción -- with jazzy Brazilian ones -- MPB, bossa, and samba. Her lyrics are honest and vulnerable, communicating feelings of love, heartbreak, nostalgia, wonder, and even awe. Guerrero also produced her 2019 debut album, Salvar el Fuego. 2021's Lugares Imaginarios broke through with Latin pop and MPB audiences. Produced by Matias Cella, it was nominated for a Best New Artist Latin Grammy in 2022. Cella also produced Lisboa, her third album. Recorded in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Los Angeles, its songs were delivered in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
