About The Juniper Berries

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to Simon and Garfunkel with my Mom when I was a kid in Medford, OR. I thought at the time that it was one person somehow singing all the harmonies at once with one voice somehow. I later learned about multitrack recording. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elliott Smith, Either/Or Thee Oh Sees, Floating Coffin Willie Nelson, Shotgun Willie These three records represent what I love most about music- the intricately arranged, thoughtful songwriting of Elliott Smith, the humor and heartfelt honesty of Willie Nelson, and the insane off-the-cuff guitar chaos of Thee Oh Sees. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Role Model” I'm very proud to release this song, it was a long time coming. I wrote it after watching The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in Portland, OR while extremely hungover. It's also the first JB song to feature pedal steel! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting to become friends with and play with some of my '90s indie rock heroes from the PNW. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've always wanted to tour Europe. I also think getting to tour with even more of the people we've been influenced by would be a very special full-circle moment for the band.
