About Villiers Quartet

London's Villiers Quartet is increasingly known for its performances of British chamber music, which it has promoted through concerts and recordings. The group has been especially visible via appearances on radio and television in Britain and abroad. The Villiers Quartet was formed in 2011, and its members as of 2022 are violinists Katie Stillman and Tamaki Higashi, violist Carmen Flores, and cellist Leo Melvin. The group made its recording debut in 2014 with an album of quartets by Robert Still. In 2017, the Villiers Quartet became quartet-in-residence at Oxford University. The group returned in 2022 with a recording of the quartets of Delius and Ethel Smyth.
