Smooth Yet Powerful!
This is the first single lifted from Mariah's upcoming 'Angels Advocate' album. Remixed from the original Mariah-only version (from her 'Memoirs' album), Ne-Yo provides a smooth addition to the powerful track. A song about lost relationships, it's one we can all relate to! Mariah's voice soars, showing incredible range and vulnerabilities! Highly recommended :)
Stunning duet
Mariah's solo version of "Angels Cry" was the standout track from "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel", but Ne-Yo adds another dimension to this remake, making it a beautiful duet, much like Brian McKnight did on the #1s version of "Whenever You Call", originally a solo effort on Mariah's "Butterfly" album. This is classic Mariah doing what she does best - big power ballads with soaring, flawless vocals. This is bound to be a hit, and I've got my fingers crossed that it becomes her 19th US #1. A stroke of brilliance from an enduring diva who has given us some of the best songs of the last two decades. Well done Mariah.
Hottest R&B ballad in years!!
Seriously I can have this song on repeat all day long it's just amazing. I adored the original version, but NeYo's part gives the song a new element of R&B, it's sounds like a Mariah classic to me, her album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" is amazing if you haven't got the song or album you should consider it! She's just amazing 2 decades and still going strong! Thank you Mariah for yet an another amazing era!! :)
