Another Collection of Home Recordings isn't all that different from Lou Barlow's first collection — it's still him composing songs that are either slight or significant on his portastudio, with the occasional help of some friends and family members. However, Another Collection serves as a more effective introduction to Barlow's insular world since it has more flashes of humor than the previous record.
