A return to the dancefloor!

Great album. Many tracks on here destined to be hits particularly, get outta my way. Title track Aphrodite, Put your hands up, closer and Cupid boy are fantastic also and could all be stand alone singles.
This album is more along the line of dance inspired 'light years' rather than experimental albums 'x' and 'body language'. A great return to her pop/dance roots!!

Like all pop music these days, it's over-compressed.

Not bad, and would have earned an extra star, but so much pop music these days is over-processed, over-compressed, to within an inch of it's life. Sounds like an FM radio broadcast. When will audio engineers realise that the reason the 70s music sounded so good was that it had less processing and more dynamics. Don't press that button on the mixing console just because it's there! Principle of least treatment!

All been done before

Has Kylie run out of ideas? Is it possible to write a song without the words love or dance? Is this really all she has to say? If so, that is a little sad. There is very little that is original about this album. It's all been done before. Bland meaningless lyrics backed by a pop beat. With the exception of 'Closer' and 'Too Much' this album is a yawn.

Her streaks of number one singles in both Australia and the U.K. are nearly insurmountable. And yet, on the other hand, her inability to really crack open the American pop market over the course of her career is a story that is heard all too often from groups hailing from nations as pop...
