A Pure Masterpiece.

This is Rise Against's fifth album, and still they are getting better. Tim's vocals are less harsh then previous albums (i.e. Siren Song of the Counter Culture), but the diverse way that he brings together all these different songs is amazing. Zach Blair does a stellar performance on guitar, bringing us hard riffs such as Re-Education (Through Labour), and also injects enthusiasm into the whole band. Joe Principe delivers all the usual amazing bass riffs, and Brandon Barnes is yet again keeping the pace up with high enthusiasm and complex drumming. Overall, the band has come together to bring fans a more refined, more political album. Songs like Hero of War are musical slaps to the face, and help wake us up to what is happening in the world around us. All the songs are equal value, and are worth every cent, but I would also recommend going out and buying the store version of album. The booklet contains all the lyrics, as well as some inspiring quotes, and to top it off, comes packaged in 100% bio-degradable/recyclable packaging with amazing artwork. So why are you still reading this? Go out and buy ‘Appeal To Reason’ now!
