Best Album since Vitalogy

by lukeymuffler

On first hearing this album I thought it was going to be another B grade venture like Riot Act or Binaural. However, the more you listen to this album the better it gets. There are some really great rock songs like Got Some and Gunna See My Friend intertwined with some beautiful ballads such as The End and Just Breathe. However the highlight for me is Unthought Known which is an amazing song and will surely go down as one of Eddie's better efforts. Make sure you listen to this album with the volume cranked up to 11.

Finally, the boys are back and in a big way. This album is simply brilliant!

Not exceptionally amazing

Given the quality and style of their music, recent and older, I found the album left me wanting. Not 'dirty' or 'edgy' enough for me. Not bad, just not great. Shame really. Lots of great reviews elsewhere though, so make up your own mind!

Can't get enough of Pearl Jam, been a fan since the start. Can't wait to see them in November in old Adelaide. Should be a fine mix of the brilliant new album, and the brilliance of old.
