Listen to this and be entranced
I bought this album after falling in love with Bic's third album, Beautiful Collision. I had high expectations for Birds, and I think its fair to say that they were met. Bic's voice is astounding: so fragile, yet so beautiful, passionate and sensuous. She is one of the few artists I have listened to who makes you feel like she is singing to you personally. Her songs are all very personal, deeply moving and cover a wonderful emotional canvas. To me, Birds has a character very different to Beautiful Collision. The standout track for me is "Listen". I'd love to hear Bic do this one with a symphony orchestra: I think it would be absolutely stunning with full orchestration supporting that voice. I'm also a great fan of "If I Had You". If you listen carefully at about 2.42 you can actually "hear" Bic break into a smile while she is singing. It makes the song very real and personal. "Captured" is a very intense and challenging piece to work with, but after repeated listens, it is now one of my favourite tracks. I thoroughly recommend this album.

She Is an amazing artist
Bic is brilliant
This album is under-rated (in that not many people know of it) but is brilliant - one of my personal favourite albums of all time! It is also recorded exceptionally well (a rarity these days) so sounds great on a decent stereo system (also a rarity!).
If you like easy-going acoustic type music this album is for you.
