BORED THIS WAY...

This album is a complete disappointment and shows no growth from her excellent debut The Fame/ The Fame Monster. In fact all Lady Gaga shows with this offering is that she's a poor reproduction of far superior artists that have come before her.

Outlandish costumes and deliberately over-hyped controversy seem to be Ms Germanotta's forte. However perhaps if she placed less time on these aspects of her career and instead focused some much needed effort into her song writing she wouldn’t have to heavily rely on blatant plagiarism.

Gaga promised "The greatest album of the decade" and instead has dished up a tired and generic Time Life Warner '80s/'90s compilation album.

Amazing

The Fame Monster was alot to follow, the first time i heard Born This Way (the song), i thought Gaga had failed to live up to everyones expectations.
Now that the album has finally arrived however - i eat those words.

Marry The Night on first listen instantly became my favourite of all her songs.
She's expanded the dark sound of The Fame Monster onto this record but hasnt lost any of the energy - especially noticeable in Government Hooker, Scheiße and Heavy Metal Lover.

Hair, You and I and The Edge of Glory are a bit of a different direction for her, they however turned out amazing and she proves she has an absolutely killer voice behind all the added effects in most of her other songs.

I have to admit i still dislike this album cover, and Highway Unicorn/Bad Kids seem to straggle behind the rest of the album for me. I'm also a bit disappointed Black Jesus - Amen Fashion isnt on this version of the album, but either way...

Its still a brilliant album and worth every cent.

Yawn

It's just the same generic sound we have heard from her from her last two albums.

Glamorously gaudy, a self-made post-modern diva stitched together from elements of Madonna, David Bowie, and Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga was the first true millennial superstar. Mastering the constant connection of the internet era, Gaga generated countless mini sensations through her style, her videos, and her music, cultivating a devoted audience she dubbed "Little Monsters." But it wasn't just a cult that turned her 2008 manifesto The Fame into a self-fulfilling prophecy: Gaga crossed over into...
