Not like anything else..

There is something so captivating about Lana Del Rey. I didn't really get all the hype from ''Video Games'' when it first came out and I initially thought she was really boring, but after listening to the whole album you can definitely see what all the fuss is about. Be warned. Her lyrics will not escape your head for days. I feel as though the music is so real and genuine. Each track almost seems like a personal reflection or memoir. They are like individual snippets of Lana's life. It's quite fascinating and I love how she incorporates dark, melodramatic "Americana" themes within her music. Like any artist, not everyone will be a fan, but she isn't worth hating. Anyway, this album is really self-empowering. Amazing record!

Great work, just a tad repetitive.

The problem here is most of these songs have been produced by the same producer, if you listen very carfully, nearly all of the songs sounds the same as born to die or video games, and the 1, 2 punch beat is EXTREMELY repetitive.. It's a bit tough listening to the album from start to finish.
Overall, the voice needs a bit of work. The sound is different, but VERY repetitive.
Standouts - Video games, National anthem, Dark paradise, Summertime sadness and This is what makes us girls.

Ewww

My fav part was the end
