If you are looking into buying some of Ben Harpers awsome collection of originals, you cannot beat this as an opening chapter. This box set of his first three brilliant albums is well worthy of the attention of your ears and your heart. "Welcome to the Cruel" world was a stunning and original rootsy debut with a strong political edge and some heartfelt classics. "Fight for your mind" is a magical album that burst open the preconceptions of where roots music could go and set up Harper as one of the greatest original singer/songwriters of our time. "'The will to Live" is where Ben expertly expanded his style to cover even more genre's, refusing to be classified as one type of roots musician. This collection is ESSENTIAL Harper, with too many gems to mention you will be all the richer for owning it. Then there's the REST, his music is as sharp as ever and continues give a lot to this world. Ben Harper is the real thing folks.
