Before “Chandelier” perfected the power ballad for the ‘10s, Sia loaded her fifth album with itchy party-starting pop that’s just as emotional as her more sombre earlier work. Skittering electro jams like “Big Girl, Little Girl” and the funk-fuelled “You’ve Changed” still leave room for infectious guitar licks, while Sia lightens her thick, cathartic drawl with twinkling playroom instrumentation. There are darker moments too, including the Madonna co-write “Oh Father”, but it’s the upbeat entries that keep the album percolating with manic energy.
