i wish we got a new dan kelly album every year
You know this album will be great before you even tear off the shrink wrap.
You see that theres a track that includes the name 'Bindi Irwin" but you don't care.
You still know it will be great.
Because you know that whatever the subject matter, the sheer brilliance of dan kelly's songwriting will somehow make it exceedingly clever, catchy as hell and an all round joy to listen to.
Stand out tracks:
"hold on i'm coming on"- Makes you feel like going out and getting loose, no matter how old you are. "i told them i was 19, i'm actually 35"
"gap year blues"- Simply a beautiful song."We got many things in common, many problems too. But the problems aint so bad to spoil my lustful plans for you"
"the catholic leader"- Sometimes i spend my entire shift humming the chorus of this celebration of loves triumph over religion. (landscape gardeners dream flashbacks)

'Gap Year Blues' is both a melodious and catchy offering from 'Dan Kelly's Dream'... this track will get your foot tapping, head nodding & bum bopping by the second chorus. All round great Australian songwriting and a track definitely worth the purchase.
Bindi Irwin Apocalypse Jam
One of the most random, yet fantastic, tunes that I have ever heard, probably a close second to 'Revolution 9' by the Beatles, that one was weird. But this track is awesome sauce, so catchy, and it captures Dan's quirky sense of humour perfectly.
I also love "The Catholic Leader", "Hold On, I'm Coming On", "The Decommissioner" and "Dan Kelly's Dream". All up, a great album, from a great Aussie artist, who I think is starting to discover his sound.
