What A Wonderful Eargasm

Here's my story. From what I remember, a month or so ago I was messing around with an online application, probably on Last.fm, one that analyses your iPod library / favourite artists and returns a result that contains similiar artists. If you must know, the bands that I had initially chosen were from the likes of Karnivool, Cog, The Butterfly Effect, etc... all great Aussie acts. One of the returned results at the top of the list was Dead Letter Circus... now, initially I wasn't that interested mostly because the name of the band wasn't that appealing. Now I truly understand the saying "don't judge a book by its cover..." because that's exactly what you can't do with DLC. They are superb. Once I heard that first song, I was hooked. These are honestly the greatest 6 songs from any artist I have heard since 2005 with Karnivool's release of Themata; which we all know to be quite possibly the most inspiring, emotive and technical debut album that, in my opinion, should be considered a masterpiece. This whole EP is simply beautiful. All 6 songs come together in one giant build up right to a specific point in the last song. I can not get enough of Dead Letter Circus, I'm amazed they only have 9 recorded songs thus far. Keep an eye out on these guys, they are quite possibly the greatest thing Australia has ever made since Vegemite and the Hills Hoist. Haha! I have no favourite tracks, they are all equally amazing. If you knew me, you'd know I am as passionate about my music as the next person, and Dead Letter Circus really do provide a bright light to contrast the bleak darkness in today's monotonous mainstream, pop, and hip-hop oriented world. If you ever get a chance to see these guys live, do so. I am eagerly waiting in anticipation.

Wow

I seriously suggest that you consider purchasing this EP. The sound quality is great and for the first group of songs which DLC has written, they are very good. If you like Karnivool and the Butterfly Effect then you'll absoulutely love Dead Letter Circus. Aussie bands are rocking out right now!!

rocks!

A great album definitely worth buying, this band rocks, with depth and grunt, good vocals, tunes that getya! PS you can download their new single Reaction from their website for free.
