DWAN - Jez Fowler
"Diamonds Without a Name" could very well be the album of the year. Jeremy Fowler has matured from the lead singer of Freedom1 to an energetic, raw and passionate man - a change conveyed throughout his album. With heartfelt lyrics and a powerful voice, Fowler conveys a better life of hope and love and no fear, and that such a life can become a reality. Masterfully produced by Andy Mak and the team at Delusion Records, Jez takes us on an emotional journey in an out of love, relationships, slavery, care and compassion, leaving us with a hope instilled within all of us. And this album promises in a world where our faiths collide as often as our weapons systems, hope matters, hope cannot be traded out, and most importantly, hope is real. To find an album with meaning, energy and an unequiovacle real sense of empathy, is a hard find in the modern music world, yet is found right here in Jez's debut album. It is worth every cent and a grateful music world stands and applauds Fowler's fine work.
Diamonds Without a Name
A well produced, and recorded album. Unfortunately the positives end there.
Unimaginative lyrics and orchestration blend together to create a musical work that leaves you neither satisfied or inspired.
In today's musical climate, that operates on the currency of creativity and innovation, I doubt this album will go much further then the adoring teen fan-base that have already fallen in love with Jeremy for everything, but his music.
This being said, Jeremy has a great voice! With a bit more thought given to melodies and musicality hopefully later releases will make up for what is lacked in this one.
An Absolute Gem
Thanks to Itunes Genius I discovered this album on the back of some New Empire purchases.
I can't stop listening to "Tonight you'll fall" it is such an emotional and well performed song. When a voice can command a song with so little instruments, mainly piano, you know you have to sing good, and Jeremy does that. So proud he is Australian. This deserves International fame. All the songs are excellent. One of my best purchases and I have done many.
